Along the route
The full Italian Stallion Challenge course. The Rocky Run 5K and the 10-miler, back to back, 13.1 miles through Fairmount Park, filmed in real time at sunrise with natural sound and a GPS overlay. The 5K follows the bike path on Kelly Drive. For the 10-miler I ran what I could on asphalt, but there were times I had to get on the bike path, with MLK Drive open to vehicle traffic for the regatta. Mount Drago on spent legs is not easy.
The Rocky Run is Saturday, November 14, 2026, starting and finishing at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The 5K starts at 7:00 AM and the 10-miler at 8:00 AM. Run both and you earn the Italian Stallion Challenge medal.
The downloadable GPX combines both courses; the short walk between the 5K finish and the 10-mile start is included as a second segment.
